Multiple Teams · Crusaders Win Thriller in Doddridge


The final game of the regular season went down to the final seconds, but the Crusaders stole the win from the Doddridge Bulldogs on the road with a final score of 59-57. The game was back and forth the whole way through, but with 6.2 seconds remaining, the Crusaders pulled away.  The unlikely hero who was freshman Patrick Copen, who secured a clutch rebound with 6.2 seconds left, and sunk two game winning free throws for the Crusaders. That earned PCHS fifth place in the Little Kanawha Conference. The Crusaders finished the regular season with a impressive 15-7 record. The Crusaders now wait until Tuesday, to see what seed they will be for Sectionals.
