It’s no secret that the past generation at Parkersburg Catholic has laid the foundation for one of the most successful golf programs in the state. A state championship in 2005, along with multiple All-State recipients in the years since, has cemented PCHS as a contender year in and year out. This year’s Middle School Golf team is proving to be no exception.
The team has charged out of the gate to a 6-0 start, sweeping all three matches they have played thus far. The Crusaders are lead by 8th grader Blake Lewis, last year’s county co-champion, who has begun the year right where he left off, averaging below 40 for the three matches contested thus far. Also noteworthy is 8th grader Lillith Crichton, who posted a career low 52 last match at Woodridge Plantation. Rounding out the squad is Joey Koreski, Vinny Guice, Evan Cowan, Carter McMinn, Liam Crichton, and Carson McMinn.
