Last Monday, Crusader golfer and LKC Player of the Year, Bryce Moore, punched his ticket to the West Virginia State Golf Tournament held in Wheeling. At Riverside, Moore managed to put together an 8-over 78, despite rainy conditions, to secure the medalist spot in Region IV. Though the team came up just short of qualifying, Bryce will be representing the Crusaders as an individual at this week’s tournament. The PCHS senior will look to become an All-State finisher for the second year in a row.
The annual tournament is held at the Jones Course at Speidel Golf Club in Oglebay Park. The 7000 yard, par 71 track is considered to be one of the toughest courses in the state, as it provides unique challenges for the golfers year after year. The 36 hole tournament will take place Tuesday and Wednesday beginning at 9 AM.
