This week marks the beginning of classes for PCHS since Christmas break, however the student athletes have been hard at work over the past two weeks. The boys’ basketball team completed blowout victories over both Tyler Consolidated and Ravenswood, winning by 36 and 24 points respectively. The Crusaderettes started break with a tough loss at home to Trinity Christian, falling at the hand of late bucket by the Lady Warriors. However, the team returned to form by winning the annual Mary O’ Crusaderette Classic with dominating performances over both Ravenswood and Herbert Hoover.
The teams return to action this week with important games as the schedules begin to heat up. Tonight the Crusaders (4-1) look to win their third consecutive game as they host the Charleston Catholic Irish (3-3) in an important regional matchup. The Crusaderettes (8-1) are scheduled to return to action tomorrow as they will take on the Williamstown Yellowjackets (7-1), on the road, in what will be a tough conference rivalry game. Both games tip-off at 7:30 PM with the boys’ theme being Frat Night and the girls’ being a Black Out. Let’s Go Blue!
