Free throws aren’t always free. Shooting 36% from the foul line Monday night the Middle School Boys needed a big defensive stand to pull away from the hungry Wood County Christian team.

Up 8 at halftime the Crusaders came out hungry in the third period. Playing full court man to man the group got after the ball resting in turnovers and baskets from the paint. When the third quarter ended the Crusaders found themselves with a 24 point lead and didn’t look back.

Leading the way for the Crusaders was 8th Grader Evan Cowan with 14 points along with Carter McMinn who totaled 11 on the evening. Also needs mentioned that 6th grader Cruz Isaly amassed a new Middle School Career High with 9 assists on the night to help get everyone involved and open.

The Middle School Boys will next be on the floor this Saturday 12/22 at Tyler Consolidated High School in the middle school gym for a Noon tip. Soon as that is over you can walk down the hallway to the High School gym to see the end of the JV game which also starts at Noon and is followed by the Varsity Boys around 1:30pm.

Go Blue.
