The Middle School Boys got back to action today at the Elite Sports Center today taking part in the Marissa Miller Showcase against Ripley middle School. The first game after break started as expected, sloppy and slow for the PC boys. The Ripley pressure defense and size kept the Crusaders guessing in the first half. Having trouble setting anything up the lead increased to just over 20 at halftime.

The hungry Crusaders did bounce back in the second half but the big lead was just to much to over come. Winning the second half 26-20 the Crusaders have something to build on moving forward.

“Everything changed in the second half. We stayed engaged in the process. Our effort and attitude improved as the buckets fell. That is something we have to work on when the buckets aren’t falling as well.” Coach Fleming said after the game.

Leading the way for the Crusaders were 8th Graders Blake Lewis 17 points and Carter McMinn 8 points.

The Middle School Boys have a short turn around as they get back on the court at 10am tomorrow for their final game in the Marissa Miller Showcase.
