Crusaderettes Home Opener Friday

The crusaderettes open the season with Ritchie County this Friday at home. The team has been working hard, and is ready to take on the rebels. The junior varsity game starts at 6 pm with the varsity starting around 7:30 pm. Come out and support the girls basketball team.

Ironton St Joseph

The girls varsity basketball team will play their first scrimmage at Ironton St. Joseph this Friday, November 18. The crusaderettes are very excited to start the season and hoping to do well.

Honorable Mention LKC

Mikayla Alkire and Olivia Ullman were both named Honorable Mention LKC for Basketball. Congratulations Mikayla and Olivia.

Congratulations Aaliyah Brunny!!

Congratulations to seventh grader Aaliyah Brunny for earning All Tournament Team honors for seventh and eighth grade middle school girls’ basketball. She also led all Wood County scorers with 201 points.  Congrats again Aaliyah!

Tomorrow night the Crusaderettes face their biggest game of the year. They’ll take on the Williamstown Yellow Jackets at Williamstown for their second sectional game. Crusaderettes fall to Gilmer County

The Parkersburg Catholic girls traveled to Gilmer County on last night to face off against the Titans. The Crusaderettes put up a good fight only losing by seven, 56-49, to the number 1 seed in the section. The leading scorers were Alexis Saunders with 20 and Mikayla Alkire with 14. The girls return to action

Crusaderettes vs. Wirt

Come out and support the Crusaderettes as they begin Sectionals on Friday against Wirt County at home. The game starts at 7 pm. This game is part of the Region IV Section 1 bracket. Please remember that no family passes will be accepted, everyone must pay at the door. Let’s Go Blue!

Julia Ambrozy Recognized as Best of LKC West

The Parkersburg Catholic sophomore Julia Ambrozy earned recognition as one of the LKC’s best players whose presence is most felt on the court and not the stat sheet. The Parkersburg News and Sentinel praised Ambrozy, commending her for her fearless attitude and excellent defensive style of play. It was Ambrozy’s will to win and improvement

Reily Sturm signs with Wheeling Jesuit

Reily Sturm a two sport athlete at Parkersburg Catholic, has decided to continue her basketball career and play for Wheeling Jesuit University. Jesuit plays in the Mountain East Conference. The conference includes Division II colleges mostly located in West Virginia. Reily plans on majoring in Physical Therapy. Good luck Reily!
